The National Gallery of Art in DC just opened a new temporary exhibition focusing on John Singer Sargent’s several trips to Spain. Just after touring Spain, it is a delight to see his paintings and other preparatory collection of Spain and compare the current scenes with those in his paintings from the early twentieth century.
